The aluminium side panel on the driver's side is now attached. Makes quite a mess with the Sikaflex when the panel has to be clipped over the top chassis rail and fitted around the curvature of the car. Applying the Sikaflex to the chassis rails first normally makes sense but the way the panels fit over the cockpit side makes the panel drag off all the neatly applied gunk.
I plumbed the rest of the fuel pipe in and that's now complete all the way up to the engine. The gear linkage is fitted (again) and everything has good clearance.
I've fitted the fuel pump on a small bracket I've made, attaching it with rivnuts. Likewise I've also started fitting the ECU and ignition boxes where possible. The existing loom in the engine bay needs very little modification, not surprising, as the old car was a little physically bigger.
Still need to collect the parts (sump, clutch cable, coolant T pieces) from ST. I've asked for a quote to have them delivered as it will be a while before I can get down there again.
The build seems to be going quite well, I've had to remove most of the body to get the side panel on. It looks as if I'm going to have to adopt a "ground up" build methodology!
