More work on the dash today. After a prolonged attempt to bend the GRP in a suitable curve it became obvious that plan B would have to be implemented. The GRP was trimmed off flush with the aluminium backing and the thicker L section attached using M6 socket head bolts. Next thing is to cut out the L section to allow the fitment of the ignition switch and push start button. After that the dash can be sanded down and that will be the dash completed (apart from the hole for the steering column). The cycle wing brackets were quite easy to fit. The offside wing is now fitted and looks great. The nearside wing requires some fettling to be able to fit properly. It looks slightly offset, although you'd have to look closely to notice. I've left the completion of the nearside wing until tomorrow.
Time tonight to look through the catalogues and find out where to buy the little bits and bobs that the car requires. Biggest bits to get are harnesses and probably new seats as the existing ones are a little tight.
