As predicted another sunny day. Cut the grass front and back and spent the rest of the day working on the car. Drilled another couple of holes in the dash; one for the choke cable and the other for the brake bias adjuster. Fitted the choke OK, but the brake bias knob needs a couple of washers, the size of which I don't have.
Wrapped the wires from the rear of the car leaving the fog lamp wires free. Continued to wrap the loom all the way to the under-dash area. Routed the cable down the tunnel and secured the cable (with some difficulty) so that it was clear of the brake and fuel pipes. Next job is to splice the front and rear looms together, but that's a job for later.
Ran the engine again today and it does need some sort of return spring on the throttle. The response when shutting the throttle is a little slow. No wonder the original bike used two cables (one to open and one to close). Need to order the missing parts tonight. I need a flush mount fog lamp, a brake fail lamp, brake fail test switch and throttle return spring.
