The 12mm hole was drilled very easily thanks to dewalt and the clutch cable fitted. The mechanism of the new cable is miles better than any other I have seen (and I've tried a few!) and just needs adjustment at the clutch end in order for it to be fully operational. The plan is to complete this and then start the refit of the firewall/scuttle assembly (this time using rivnuts!) I have researched and spec'd up most of the components I require for the next few jobs, the only thing that I cannot find is a neat way of fixing the cables to the back of the dash. The flat cable for the JAW display is the most difficult to attach - I'll have to see how others have done it on www.14point7.com

It may be worth investigating whether the ZX9 clocks can be mounted independently on the steering column mount. The only downside to this would be the visiblilty of the instruments. Once this is checked, then the idea can be measured up further (and maybe I'll put in a few photos!)
