A quite productive day today (I did everything I wanted to without making any more work for myself!)

  • The steering boss and upper steering column have been dropped in to a local engineering company for a little fettling. They're cutting down the steering boss to remove all the excess material. Much the same case for the upper column where I've cut all the ignition switch and column stalks bracketry off.
  • The new carbon dash has been trial fitted and it's now been drilled and temporarily bolted to the scuttle. Of course, to do this, I actually had to drill holes in the lovely shiny CF dash! To make sure it was right I exceeded the old adage and measured four times and drilled once.
  • The calipers have been removed and are ready for refurb'ing in the shed. They're in a reasonable condition (compared to the shocks that is) and will only take a little time to sort out. They are on the "shed" jobs to do list.
