Here's the finished article, coverings removed and the rear edge has been attached. It became obvious when I was fixing it on that this rear boot section is not exactly parallel; it differs from left to right by about 8mm. It just means my holes were drilled with an (even more ) odd spacing :-)
Apologies for the bad picture, it confuses the camera trying to focus on something clear!
