Fitted the first aluminium panel to the car. Chose the smallest panel, the passenger footwell front. The technique came flooding back after a couple of rivets, so I continued on to the tunnel side panel. Then the battery on the drill ran out.
I decided to fit the tunnel sides, as there is very little to be fitted in the tunnel and access will be difficult with the floor and pedal box fitted.
So I went into work and stripped down the rear hubs. They are mechanically sound; they just need a little cosmetic attention. Surface prepared, I took them back home for painting. I also managed to remove all the studs from the hubs as they were too short and I wanted to replace them to increase the thread capture when using the HPC wheels.
Next task is to finish the offside tunnel side panel, when the drill is charged.
