The progress made over Christmas was limited but here we go:
Fitted all the suspension arms and they all seem to work properly. A couple were a little tight but just needed working to loosen up. When the suspension moves around they will soon settle in.
Pressed in all the new extended wheel studs. Tried one of the HPC wheels and the there are now about 3 threads proud of the wheel nut. This is much better and instils a little more confidence than the old setup.
Assembled the rear hubs onto the rear uprights. Couldn't fit them permanently as the mounting bolts are a little short. Longer bolts are on order.
The rear diff mount holes need to be modified slightly as they are a little too close together. A simple drilling job.
The pedal box is now out of the car again and back on the workbench. The master cylinder pushrods need shortening by about 8mm so that the pedal sits right.
All the discs need cleaning up. May give them a coat of WD40 to stop the rust (as long as they are cleaned up before actual use!)
The front hubs need reassembly as they were dismantled for the wheel stud fitting.
The front uprights are in place and attached to the fully fitted steering rack.
The next job is to reassemble most of the car (pedal box, front uprights among others)
