The gear linkage mechanism is complete and works well. Need a new gear knob though, or I may try to fit the old one.
Designed a centre bearing support cradle. Took an absolute age to cut the metal out with a hacksaw. The design fitted OK in the car although it will need a little fettling. I'm incorporating some steel strip as restraints for the prop, just in case any of it decides to come loose or break the strip will hold the flailing prop out of harms way. The height of the fitted brackets is perfect. They need to be drilled out to 12mm, something I can only do at work.
Making out another shopping list of bits and pieces that are needed as I'm getting fed up not being able to make progress due to lack of parts.
Considering ditching the column stalk switchgear. It'll be much neater having the switches on the dash, and it clears the steering wheel area. This could be adapted with use though and I'd rather run the car and get the hang of where things should be relocated to on the dash.
