Well, after a coffee I decided to go and do some more wiring. I wanted to splice the headlamps and loom together now that I'd proved that they worked correctly. Done a little more but the rain was threatening and stopping and starting so I decided to finish early. Just before I did however, I thought I'd give the engine a quick run, if anything to put some juice back in the battery. It turns over OK, just didn't start. Now I don't know whether it's to do with the addition of the ignition wiring, or the fact that I could see the fuel in the fuel filter splashing around (meaning a lot of air was in there). Have to look further into this.
