I now have a digital gear display unit and a superb "double bubble" aeroscreen to fit to the car. I have also been looking at replacing the dash with something a little more organised. The existing one isn't bad but I feel that I can do much better. The new dash would mean binning the stalk controls as well, which isn't too bad as they were only used for lights and indicators. It seems more fitting for a car like mine to not have the standard Sierra stalks. The dash wiring could be much better as well, hopefully connecting everything with a multi-plug would make it all neater. The jobs list I have is quite exhaustive and should see the car through its first MOT.
At the back of my mind is also the fact that the disco requires some work for its MOT. The only real buggerance with this is the need to check the emissions, something which I have to take the car to a garage to do. Don't know if I can hire a tester for home use, I'll have to look into it. I have a plan for the disco and the parts that are required are not that expensive but it'll be the emissions that'll be the most difficult to sort.
