I had to put a little thought into where to place the fuel gauge.
I did try above the hazard switch (just visible far right) or above the brake bias knob, but there were issues with the gauge being mostly obscured by the wheel rim.
Some other locations were affected by the gauge needing a 70mm rear clearance.
So, this is what I have come up with: It's clearly visible from the drivers seat and gives any passenger something to do (as in... warn me when the fuel is low)
Hole was quickly dremelled out and then power, ground and backlighting was all easily wired in. Now I'm just waiting for another TE tyco Mate'n'Lok* connector to connect in the sensor wire from the sender.

*I could use one I have already but I'm keeping all the dash connections unique so nothing can be accidentally connected the wrong way.
