Read a really good idea today. For multi-way connectors on the car I can use computer D plugs like those used on serial and parallel ports. Each pin is rated up to 1A, which should be enough for most uses although it can be increased by simply doubling up the pins. Waterproof covers are fairly abundant and they will make the connections much simpler to fault find. A very good idea that I'll implement when the time comes around.
Top suspension mounts have arrived for the Landrover, so as soon as I'm free I'll be fitting them. Next job after this is to look at the wheel bearing and adjust (or replace) it.The Volvo still only runs on battery. I have measured the voltage across the alternator outputs and it never goes above 12V, and more incriminatingly drops to zero when the battery is disconnected. A couple of suitable replacements have been located on eBay and I shall get one soon.
